Video games as well as other entertaining technologies are among the attractive fields of research, which combine various sciences such as computer engineering, art, psychology, sociology, economics, management, medicine, etc., to provide a platform for interdisciplinary research, which is very popular within scientific communities in recent years. Analyzing existing games from the perspectives of technology, art and humanities, developing new games for treatment, education, advertisement, etc., analyzing business models of production and monetization in the entertainment industry, and such research trends, would fortify the foundations of one of the most lucrative industries of the world.
 

University of Isfahan, as a comprehensive academic unit in Iran and a pioneer university in this inter-disciplinary field, has started organizing the annual International Conference on Computer Games; Challenges and Opportunities (CGCO) since 2016, in order to support and lead game researchers.
 

In 2021, the 6^th CGCO will be held in collaboration with the Iran Computer and Video Games Foundation on 18-19 February 2021, at University of Isfahan; but due to the prevalence of COVID-19, it will be an online event, which provides a unique platform to connect the game researchers from all over the world.
 

The special focus of CGCO’2021 will be on Video Games; from Kids to Elderly, and research towards this emerging field are especially welcomed.
 

Organizing committee invites all scholars, students, researchers, developers, and other interested activists of video games to participate in CGCO’2021 and take the opportunity to improve their knowledge, skills, and networks.
